Message For my Readers
So, are you ready for “Conversations between a Black Woman and a White Man”?
Dear Readers,
Last week, I shared that my friend
and I are starting a videocast. We are calling it Conversations between a Black Woman and a White Man, and we are super excited about the content we’ll bring you.No subject is off limits. From white privilege to how white people can do more to fight racism to how racism affects mental health to using psychedelic-assisted therapy to heal from racial trauma to why Black women change their hair so often to interracial relationships, we will cover it all and more!
We’re also inviting our viewers and listeners to propose topics for us to discuss. You can ask us all your questions, and we will address them in our deeply vulnerable one-on-one conversations.
As you can see, we are ready to go at this stage, but we are facing an obstacle in terms of how to pay for the studio to record the videocast and the editing that would need to be done. This is where we need your support. We are looking for 40 readers ready to donate $100 or whatever they can to help us record the first 12 episodes of our videocast.
We are confident that our work will provide a basis for deep learning, thought-provoking discussions, and interesting experiences in your life. After 12 episodes, we hope to find supporters to help us continue this work.
Please message me at rstevensalder@gmail.com if you or anyone in your network would like to support our work. We will acknowledge your support as widely as possible in the videocast's credits, this newsletter, and our social media platforms. If you don’t want to be acknowledged, we’ll understand that too!
Dan and I strongly believe that our work is educational and a necessary public good, especially at a time when nationalist and far-right groups are growing around the world. Your contribution to this work will help bend the moral arc of our world toward antiracism and justice. Thank you very much for your support.
Warm regards,
Rebecca & Dan
Hi all, many thanks to all of you and your wonderful support you've shown to us so far regarding inviting me into deep, important, sensitive matters around truths and realities and the deep affects of racism.
I'm really looking forward to the various content and conversations Rebecca and I could further explore and offer for those who are long term subscribers, and new readers alike, to Rebecca's wonderful work in anti racism, advocacy and sharing of her deeply personal life experiences.
I'm new to substack (and online content creation for that matter), forgive me whilst I adjust and begin to set myself up here and get cosy to bring more content creation into my weekly/monthly schedule.
I'm in deep respect that Rebecca has invited me to explore creating content with each other around such matters, and look forward to catching up with Rebecca soon!
Sending my best to you all, and speak soon!

Very excited. Sharing with family members. We're a mixed family, white and Black together. We're keen to hear these convos.
